BeaLu Books’ Author Amy Foos Kapoor has been making the rounds at several events to share her literary knowledge.
In late February 2025, Amy hosted three writing workshops for middle school students at River Valley Middle School in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She gave the students advice on how to write picture books along with some writing exercises to boost their creativity and find topics for their stories. The students came up with some very creative characters and scenarios.
On March 1st, Amy was a featured author for the Kentucky Women’s Book Festival at the University of Louisville which featured many notable writers with ties to Kentucky. Amy was part of a children’s writer’s panel with fellow children's book authors Gin Spalding and Lauren Vonckx.
And coming up on May 29, 2025, Amy will be a featured reader in the Alumni Celebration of New Works at Spalding University’s Naslund Mann Graduate School of Writing in Louisville, Kentucky. A book signing and reception will take place following the Celebration. It’s a free event and open to the public. Amy earned her MFA from Spalding University.
