Joanne Mattern has been writing since she was a little girl. She is the author of hundreds of nonfiction books for young readers. Her favorite subjects are animals, sports, and history. Joanne also works in her local library. She lives in New York State with her family and enjoys reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, watching baseball games, and hiking.
